Erin Colson is a BFA student at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln. She has earned an Associates of Applied Science degree in Photography at Metropolitan Community College, Omaha. She was born and raised in Lynchburg, VA. She joined the military straight out of high school and that is where she met her husband. They left the military and moved back to his home state of Nebraska. They have 2 grown sons, also in the military, and 4 dogs together. Erin has always loved photography and has been influenced by many photographers including Sally Mann and Lewis Hine. Landscapes, portraits and food photography are what she enjoys photographing, as well as spending time working on fine art conceptual photography. Erin’s photographs have been included in many exhibitions including ones at The Joslyn Art Museum, Omaha, and Place M Gallery, Tokyo.
